Creating a project
- Click + New Project on Home.
- Answer “What are you writing?” Choose Manuscript for long-form fiction, Screenplay for scripts, or General for essays, blogs, journals, and other non-fiction. Or choose Import draft and tell Skrib which of those three kinds the file should become. The choice sets the editor type, so pick the one that matches the work.
- Name the project. “You can rename it anytime.” The poster preview updates as you type.
- Customize the poster (optional). Three styles: Penguin, Monogram, and Letter. Choose from seven colors or upload your own image. You can edit the title and byline directly on the poster.
- Create project. It opens on the Draft, ready.
The free plan limit
The free plan includes 5 projects. When all 5 are in use, creating a sixth shows “You’ve reached your project limit” with two ways out: permanently remove a project, or View plans. Projects in Trash still count toward the limit.
