The Library

The Library is the studio’s filing system: projects, nested folders, and uploaded reference files in one place. Open it from the Library tab beside Projects on Home.

The list

Each row shows the poster or file type, name, kind, date, and an info button. The bottom bar counts items and selections. Select several rows to copy, cut, paste, or move them together. In Manual sort, drag rows into your own order.

The left rail

  • Plus: Create folder, New project, Upload files, or Upload folder. You can also drag files or folders from your computer onto the list.
  • Search: finds projects, folders, and uploaded files by name; prefix and current-folder matches rank first.
  • Filter and Sort: narrow and order the current folder.

Pin a Library folder to keep it in the second row of navigation beside Projects and Library. Use folders to group files and projects; copy, cut, and paste move material between them.

Row menu (right-click)

Open · Open in split · Open as folder · More info · Rename (or press F2) · Edit Poster · Copy (Cmd/Ctrl+C) · Cut (Cmd/Ctrl+X) · Move to Trash (or press Delete). Open as folder expands a project into its parts: the drafts, and everything on the Plan.

Files open in a reader

Double-click a PDF, Word or LibreOffice document, spreadsheet, or presentation and it opens in a reader, for consulting, not editing. PowerPoint files may ask to be converted before their slides can be previewed. Skrib drafts open in the editor. This is the distinction worth memorizing: the Library is for reference. When you want to write in a manuscript, import it as a Draft (Import and export). When you want to keep a source nearby, the Library is exactly where it belongs.
